WWBW Special Presentation - Sister Ganete Alemseged & Sister Emmie Slachowitz


This spring semester, two interns, Ganete Alemseged and Emmie Slachowitz, helped Win With Black Women on updating their website. They also had the opportunity of creating and presenting a project focusing on the Black women on their respective campuses.


Ganete is a proud graduate of the Howard University Class of 2025, holding a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Communications with a minor in Human Development.



Emmie Slachowitz is a graduating senior at Northwestern University, where she will receive her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Legal Studies.



Ganete interviewed Black women at Howard University about Black women's contributions to society along with their perspective on the current political climate.


Emmie interviewed Black women on Executive Boards of Black organization to understand how Northwestern's changing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies and the federal funding freeze would impact Northwestern's Black clubs and students.
